BBC National Orchestra of Wales is hiring a Social Media Coordinator.

This role will coordinate the daily running of BBC NOW’s social media accounts and will be responsible for sourcing, producing and scheduling digital content to appeal to a wide range of audiences. Working as part of the marketing and audiences department, the role holder will have a good understanding of how social media can positively impact on a brand, and will be familiar with online community management.

You will be organised and efficient and capable of planning and scheduling social media and other online content regularly to ensure BBC NOW and its output meet deadlines such as broadcasts, film releases and large scale events such as the annual BBC Proms.

The role holder will feel confident working with colleagues across the BBC and with external agencies such as photographers, video editors and film crews.

Are you the right candidate?
Experience of creating, scheduling, posting and promoting social media posts across all platforms to help promote a brand or service

Excellent writing skills and an ability to write for websites, blogs, media releases and all social media platforms to reach different audiences

Experience of regularly analysing social media statistics such as views, shares, likes and sentiment to help inform future content and to ensure that BBC NOW reaches the right people, at the right time, using the right platforms

A creative thinker, you will have a knowledge of how to create and/or source content for websites and social media including photos and video to accompany posts

An excellent communicator with experience of working as part of a busy creative team and supporting colleagues as needed
