Hoist the mainsail! It’s time to set off on
a musical adventure at sea with CBBC’s
Naomi Wilkinson, conductor Jessica Cottis
and the brilliant BBC Concert Orchestra.
Are you ready to join their crew? Everyone is welcome aboard.

Hear magical music from far-flung places, learn the hornpipe, brave the stormy high seas, swim with fabulous fish at the bottom of the ocean and battle pirates. And why not dress up? We would love to meet some sailors, pirates or sea creatures along the way.

Featuring music from: Blue Planet, The Little Mermaid, Poldark,
Pirates of the Caribbean and music from Benjamin Britten and Carl Nielsen. It’s a rollicking adventure for all the family!

Try an Instrument

As part of the Adventures as Sea Concert, you and your families have the opportunity to ‘Try an Instrument’ at a free workshop in the Queen Elizabeth Hall foyers before the concert.

There will be professional musicians on hand to show you how to play various instruments from the orchestra. You can try out a trumpet in the brass section, strum a chord on the ukulele, bow strings on the violin or bang a drum in the percussion section!

Everyone is welcome to join in, no need to book tickets.

There are two sessions available:
Session 1: 13.00 – 13.20
Session 2: 13.40 – 14.00
