Marketing Officer (Customer Communications)

The Scottish Chamber Orchestra is looking for a highly organised individual and strong communicator who will be responsible for developing and nurturing relationships with audience members, as well as box office and venue partners.

Key responsibilities include strategically enhancing the orchestra’s connection with audiences through planning, implementing and evaluating customer contacts plans via digital, social and print channels. The individual will also manage and administer SCO subscriptions, developing and instigating campaigns and strategies to increase the number of subscribers and act as the first point of contact for audience members.

Other responsibilities include helping to attract young audiences by further developing communication plans and engagement events for young people, and creating compelling content and high-quality copy for a range of platforms and publications.

We are looking for candidates who have a strong understanding of both traditional and digital marketing and communications, with an analytical approach and ability to effectively measure and interpret customer data insights.
