Lecturer in Arts Education

We are: recruiting the above new post to contribute to the delivery of the Conservatoire’s Postgraduate Learning and Teaching programmes.

You will: deliver specialist teaching in education to practicing artists and arts educators across a range of arts disciplines in a mix of face-to-face and online sessions. You will act as a personal supervisor to an identified group of students, organising tutorials, providing formative feedback on eportfolio submissions and providing summative assessment on final submissions of work. You will act as module coordinator for select modules and manage the planning, delivery and assessment of these modules. Furthermore, you will act as a student mentor, outlining opportunities, offering advice and supporting the building of professional relationships, as well as contributing to interviews for potential students to the Programme.

You will be: either degree qualified in a performing arts subject/equivalent vocational qualification and ideally have a postgraduate teaching qualification relevant to teaching in a performing arts context in Higher Education at SCQF Level 7 or above (or equivalent). Ideally, you will also have HEA Fellowship recognition. Experience of teaching on an education programme in an online environment is desirable.
