An Open Call to Artists

An Open Call to Artists

Friday, 2 October 2020, 5.00pm

Irish National Opera is looking to hear from creative professionals interested in working in outreach. We are looking to assemble a panel of varied artists with experience in planning and delivering outreach projects.

As part of Irish National Opera’s ongoing ambitions to develop a national ecosystem for opera, INO will be launching a new participatory workshop series for young people that will explore the various vocations involved in opera. To deliver this series, INO would like to develop a panel of experts in this field that can be called upon to collaborate with INO in delivering workshops across Ireland. We’re interested in hearing from directors, singers, composers, writers, designers and other artistic professionals.

Interested parties should submit a CV and a cover letter indicating their area of interest and their experience in this field. They should also include a workshop proposal relevant to their area of interest. Ideas can be centred around a particular theme or vocation, should be deliverable within a day and should be aimed at a particular age group within a 9-19-year-old age range. Given current government guidelines in relation to Covid-19, we are also open to purely digital or hybrid workshop suggestions if appropriate. Detailed plans or budgets are not required at this point.

Please submit applications to info [at] irishnationalopera.ie by Friday 2nd October.
