John O’Conor makes a welcome return to St Peter's Church of Ireland, Drogheda to play two of Beethoven's best known sonatas in this the composer’s 250th year. The Pathétique, named to convey the romantic and even sorrowful mood of the sonata and the Moonlight sonata which sparks imagery of a boat floating in the moonlight, are instantly recognisable works by Beethoven. A truly delightful concert.
