Hex Hue and Arvo Party
To celebrate the launch of their new single ‘Anyway,’ Hex Hue and Arvo Party present a very special live online performance featuring visuals and lights by Aimee Williamson, camera work by Ciara McMullan and a few other surprises still to be announced.
Following her debut single ‘Numbers’ last year, alt-pop artist Katie Richardson aka Hex Hue has joined creative forces with NI Music Prize nominated producer, Arvo Party, to release their collaborative single ‘Anyway’ on November 6th. Rich and dynamic vocals punctuate through a warm and pulsating haze of synths, symbolic of the uncertainty we are trying to overcome. The subtly of the verses, juxtaposed with the bright, euphoric chorus creates a cathartic effect that is emotionally reflected in the final lyrics of the song “All I wanted was to run”. ‘Anyway’ is beautifully emotional, full of longing and hope for better days to come.
With a third NI Music Prize nomination recently under his belt, Arvo Party’s distinct electronic style has garnered support from the likes of BBC Radio 1, Radio 4 & 6 Music. A prolific musician in his own right, with collaborations spanning 20 artists from an array of genres and styles, Arvo Party’s latest fusion with eclectic alt-pop artist, Hex Hue, was inevitable. Bearing the imprint of Scando pop and percussive electronica every bit as much as introspective indie, Hex Hue offers up harmony-driven, technicolour alt-pop that locks its gaze on the horizon to see better, brighter days.
