The University of Galway is inviting applications for the position of Library Assistant (Heritage Collections), a full-time, permanent role. The appointee will manage the Archives and Special Collections Reading Room service, including assisting readers, explaining rules, and retrieving and supervising materials. Oral and written Irish proficiency at B2 level on the CEFR is essential, with assessments required if not previously demonstrated.

The salary scale is €32,387–€50,274 per annum, in line with government pay policy. Garda vetting and work authorisation validation may apply.
