Head of Pathway (Stage Management)

Guildhall School of Music & Drama is hiring an idividual to take up the post of Head of Pathway (Stage Management).

You will be responsible for leading the specialist Stage Management Pathway as a member of the Production Arts management team, taking responsibility for all matters relating to the preparation, delivery, and assessment of course materials for the pathway; and contributing to the overall development, delivery and assessment of Production Arts programmes and School productions/projects. You will line-manage teaching staff and control budgets as appropriate. You will have extensive industry experience that demonstrates continued high standing in the profession. You will have experience of working in higher education settings; a good understanding of the needs of students in a complex learning environment; and the ability to represent your discipline in the public domain through professional/industry sector engagement, consultancy, and/or research (which could include practice-based research).

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing teaching in your area of specialism. You will be organised, able to meet deadlines and manage your own workload. You will have up-to-date knowledge of Health & Safety and a commitment to promoting safe working and inclusive practices.
