The 40th Irish Composition Summer School (ICSS) is scheduled to take place at the Irish Institute of Music and Song in Balbriggan, County Dublin, Ireland, from 10th to 18th July 2023. This event is designed for composers at the early stages of their career and students considering a career in composition. Course directors Garrett Sholdice and Martin O'Leary, along with guest director Jane O'Leary, will guide participants through the process of creating contemporary compositions. Skilled performers and the technology director will support participants during the course. Sponsored by the Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon and supported by IMRO, the Irish Music Rights Organisation, the event offers lectures, presentations, demonstrations, individual tuition, and group seminars. The course fee is €380, excluding accommodation.
