Audience Research Manager (Music)
The BBC is looking to recruit an Audience Research Manager within the Radio and Music Audiences team.
The successful post holder will be one of the two Audience Research Managers and will formally report to the Portfolio Head of Audiences, but be accountable day-to-day and in terms of task management to the Head of Audience Research.
This is a permanent role based at New Broadcasting House in London.
You will work primarily on the key Radio & Music youth brands (Radio 1 and 1Xtra) but will also work, as required, on related areas in the music space i.e. the other popular music networks (Radio 2, 6 Music and Asian Network), Pop Music on TV, as well as music on Sounds. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of audience research activities in these areas and for feeding actionable insights back into the relevant strategies.
It’s critical for this role that you are interested in radio/music, as well as the changing behaviours of young audiences. Proactive collaborative working is a given in BBC Audiences to ensure insights are widely understood and applied and, given the specific scope of this role, it should be expected that you will also work with others in the team, like the Research Manager for Sounds, as well as those in the wider department, like the Research Manager for BBC Three.
