The BBC Young Composer competition 2020 is now open!

You may not think of yourself as a composer, but if you love to create your own original music, and are bursting with creativity, originality, and potential, then we’re here to tell you that you are.

We’re looking for musically-minded people aged 12-18 of all technical ability, backgrounds, and musical influences.

Entries will be judged in three categories:
Junior Category (age 12-14): for those aged between 12 and 14 at the closing date.
Junior Category (age 15-16): for those aged 15 and 16 at the closing date.
Senior Category (age 17-18): for those aged 17 and 18 at the closing date.
