What music was to be heard in Kilkenny Castle in the sixteenth century? This multi-media presentation explores the rich history and cultural life of Kilkenny’s magnificent Tudor aristocrat, the tenth earl of Ormond, Sir Thomas ‘Black Tom’ Butler (1532–1614), cousin to Queen Elizabeth I of England and possibly the most influential man in Renaissance Ireland. With historical images and music performance.
