Friday, 8 November 2019, 9.00pm

This week's guest, Domhnall Ó Braonáin, comes from Cois Fharraige, Indreabhán, Co. na Gaillimhe. He has been singing sean nós all his life - as well he might. He is a grandson of Máirtín Pheaits Ó Cualáin, one of the giants of Conamara sean nós, and son of Caitlín Ní Chualáin, 2016 winner of Corn Uí Riada. Domhnall is a mainstay of singing sessions in his own locality. Most recently he took part in the show “Ciogal Fad Saoil’, a collaboration between Johhny Óg Connolly (music) and Joe Steve Ó Neachtain (poetry). The CD of songs resulting from this collaboration is due for early release. Club meets at 9:00pm sharp. Weekly singing session for traditional songs. Songs are (mainly) unaccompanied and songs in all languages/from all cultures are welcome. New singers & listeners always welcome. Admission by way of a €3 per person contribution to the club. No pre-booking necessary for weekly sessions. See our website, calendar and facebook page for details.
