BIMM London is seeking a Deputy Head of Student Services.

The post holder will report to the Head of Student Services and will have a key role in assisting with the management of the teams and systems in the Student Services department to ensure all students complete their studies and achieve to the highest level and progress.

Essential criteria:
– Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively on all levels
– Experience of working in administration within an educational environment
– Commitment to delivering a high quality of student centric pastoral care services
– Ability to prioritise and manage own time effectively and to work to strict deadlines
– Methodical and well-organised
– Management or leadership experience or ability to demonstrate qualities required to lead a team in a busy environment
– Excellent proven ability to use Microsoft Office applications; accurate word processing, data entry and database skills
– High level of literacy and numeracy able to process and explain complex information to different stakeholders
– Educated to degree level
– Knowledge and understanding of common issues students experience in Higher and Further Education, including Mental Health difficulties, financial and housing related issues

Desirable criteria:
– Ability to take initiative and responsibility
– Experience working with students who require additional learning support needs or declared disabilities
– Ability to identify areas for improvement in administrative systems and propose solutions
– Experience or understanding of MIS systems with ability to interpret complex information and data
