The BBC is looking for a new presenter to take the helm of BBC Music Introducing in Manchester, a weekly show dedicated to supporting unsigned, undiscovered and under-the-radar music.

You’ll need to be bang on the pulse of all forms of new music in our local scene and passionate about radio. You’ll be the one to take emerging artists to new heights, through weekly plays on your radio shows, by showcasing their talents at local gigs and by putting them forward to play BBC Music Introducing’s national and international stages at festivals such as Blue Dot at Jodrell Bank, Glastonbury, SXSW in Texas, Reading, Leeds and more.

It’s a small team and you’ll need to be a great team player. BBC Music Introducing is a force that lives and breathes new music from all our diverse communities, and has helped shape the rise of artists such as Blossoms, Tom Walker, Lady Ice, Mouse Outfit and The 1975. You will be the link between underground artists and opportunities on local and national radio channels, and join the national search for the next wave of impeccable British talent.

Are you the right candidate?
If this sounds like the job for you, then please put an application in! Please include a link to a short presentation demo, that showcases your presentation experience - not more than 3 minutes – plus any other relevant links.
