BBC is looking for a Proms Event Producer to join the Live Events Team.

You would be part of a dynamic team that looks after Live Events, Marketing, Learning, Communications, Publications and Business. You will build skills in the Live Events Team and get the chance to work at events. It’s a real team effort.

This role will give you the opportunity to work as part of a small team that puts on all the concerts and events for the BBC Proms season at the Royal Albert Hall in London as well as some of Radio 3’s major events around the UK. Your main role is to plan and co-ordinate the detailed logistics of each concert with a particular regard to the complex projects through to the running of events on site for live audiences and broadcast on Radio and TV.

Are you the right candidate?
BBC is looking for a positive proactive team player who can:
– Show an in-depth knowledge of how orchestras and choirs work.
– Show a significant track record in the organisation of live classical music events
– Deliver large-scale projects to live audiences in a timely and organised way
– Lead ad hoc teams and key stakeholders successfully
– Work and communicate collaboratively with a wide range of people.
– Work enthusiastically and creatively to turn challenging situations into practical solutions
– Produce key event paperwork in an efficient and accurate way
– Adapt quickly to a variety of IT software packages.
– Show a good knowledge of Health and Safety issues for live events
