Regarded as one of the top five orchestras in the world (Gramophone), the London Symphony Orchestra (LSO) boasts an enviable roster of artists including conductors Sir Simon Rattle as Music Director, Principal Guest conductor Gianandrea Noseda and guest conductors Michael Tilson Thomas as Conductor Laureate, and André Prévin as Conductor Emeritus.
On this occasion we are delighted to welcome the revered and dynamic Noseda to lead this great orchestra on stage together with distinguished international soloists Daniil Trifonov in his Dublin concerto debut, the orchestra’s principal trumpet Philip Cobb and French viola player Antoine Tamestit (in Berlioz’s Harold in Italy). This concert marks the second in the five year partnership between the LSO and NCH and is marked with a programme of popular orchestral works for what will be a climactic season finale which we are confident will leave audiences enthused and uplifted.
