Legendary saxophonist Jan Garbarek epitomises the sound of ECM, the record label he’s called home since the early 1970s.

Garbarek’s technical mastery brings a bright sharp focus to his music and carries audiences away with his extraordinary sound.

Of his musical journey, Garbarek says: ‘It never really stands still. Not at any point in time can you say, “Now I reached something”.’

He has collaborated with a huge array of musicians from around the world including Keith Jarrett and Zakir Hussain. Now, in the year of his 75th birthday, Garbarek is here at the Royal Festival Hall, coinciding with the 30th birthday of the EFG London Jazz Festival. Join us to celebrate two worthy anniversaries.
