'A Time for Christmas' E.P. Launch

Sunday, 27 November 2022, 6.00pm

Classical crossover singer Grace Foley launches her new Christmas record, "A Time for Christmas" in true festive style at the Whale Theatre. Grace will perform the songs from this new record as well as other festive favourites from Vol. 1 of the same CD series. Grace will be joined on stage by guitarist Bill Shanley and pianist Shane McVicker and her very special guest, sensational soprano, Emer Barry. This festive entertainment will be followed by a meet and greet and official C.D. signing.

The beautiful E.P. features 'O Holy Night', 'Noel' (Lauren Daigle), 'Only You' (Yazoo), Christmas Past (Mick Flannery) and the seasonal favourite, 'White Christmas'. The combination of Grace's warm and welcoming vocals with Bill Shanley's stunning guitar playing and Gavin Murphy's magic on the piano, makes this record an absolute 'must have' for your Christmas music collection.

Grace Foley is a classical crossover singer from Killarney in County Kerry. She began vocal training at the age of 14 and went on to study at the Royal Irish Academy of Music. In 2018 Grace released her E.P. 'Unleashed', which became a ‘Marty Recommends’ by Marty Whelan on RTE Lyric FM. Grace toured Ireland in 2019 in venues such as the National Concert Hall, the INEC and the Whale Theatre. Throughout the Pandemic Grace continued to record and release music, including her own self-penned song, 'Together Apart', a poignant version of 'Danny Boy', which received thousands of views worldwide, a Christmas E.P and her most recent album, 'Unmasked'.
The singer performed weekly, 'Live from My Living Room', concerts and even performed live on National Television, from her couch. Grace gave birth to her first baby, Anna, in April 2021 and was adamant she would not only tell her daughter to dream, but would show her. In late 2021 Grace took part in the RTE TV Gameshow, 'Last Singer Standing' and sang a song especially for her baby on the show. Her performance received high praise from judges Samantha Mumba and Nadine Coyle as well as presenter Nicky Byrne of Westlife fame. Grace plans to tour around Ireland and the UK throughout 2022 and 2023 and has just finished recording volume 2 of her Christmas E.P. which will be released in late November of this year.

Emer Barry is a Classical Crossover soprano. She has performed with both the NSO and RTEco on Lyric FM and RTE ONE and has recorded for various video games and even Disney!
