Our Bach Clinics are open to all non-professional instrumentalists of any age, whether enthusiastic amateurs or budding students. Participants should bring along a piece of music by Bach (with or without accompaniment) and they will have the opportunity to spend 20 minutes working on it one-on-one with one of our principal musicians. Perhaps you would like to work on the stylistic and technical challenges that come with playing Bach, or how to prepare for an audition? Or maybe you’d just like the chance to play one-on-one with one of the Dunedin Consort regulars.

Who is it?
Each session will be led by one of our principal musicians. This year, participants will work with Katy Bircher (woodwind) and Jonathan Manson (strings).

Interested?
These sessions are free of charge. Each performer will be allocated a 20-minute slot to look at a piece of music by Bach of their choice, or to work on a particular aspect of their instrumental technique.

Our next Bach Clinics will take place in Glasgow on the morning of Friday 17 January 2020 (led by Katy Bircher), and in Edinburgh on the morning of Sunday 19 January 2020 (led by Jonathan Manson).

Places are limited and applications close at 5pm on Monday 6 January 2020.

Who else can come along?
These sessions are open to the public, so even if you don’t want to take part, you are welcome to sit in and listen. Similarly, if you apply and we are unable to offer you a session, please think about coming along to hear our professionals working with the other performers.
