Events Technical Manager
The Royal Academy of Music is hiring an Events Technical Manager.
You will lead a small team and be responsible for technical and customer-facing services for events and activities at the Academy. The focus of the role is to co-ordinate set-up requirements for events and activities by liaising with different departmental staff, as well as ensuring that the staffing and customer service requirements for Stage Manager operations at events are met and implemented to an exemplary standard.
This is a hands-on-role and will require occasional weekend working.
The successful candidate will have previous stage management and events experience along with knowledge of orchestral layouts and specialist instruments, previous experience of events setup, the ability to manoeuvre large, heavy and valuable instruments and furniture. You will be friendly, approachable and with good customer service and leadership skills. The enthusiasm to work as part of a small team and a make a difference are also essential.
