Drawing from the Well: Tommie Potts

The National Concert Hall and the Irish Traditional Music Archive have announced that they will host an evening dedicated to the celebrated Dublin fiddle player Tommie Potts, titled “Drawing from the Well: Tommie Potts”. Scheduled for Thursday, 14 March 2024, at 8:00pm on the Main Stage, the event marks the fifth instalment in the Drawing from the Well series.

This concert will assemble an array of esteemed musicians, poets, and dancers, including Aoife Ní Bhriain (fiddle), Noel Hill (concertina), Sharon Carty (mezzo-soprano), Ryan Molloy (piano), Sorcha Costello (fiddle), Liam O’Connor (fiddle), Sibéal Davitt (dancer), Ronan Browne (uilleann pipes), Ellen Potts (fiddle), Seán Ó Broin (flute), Seán Potts (uilleann pipes), Paul McGrattan (flute), Cuthbert Tura Arutura (dancer), Paula Meehan (poet), Dónal Fallon (spoken word) and Fiachna Ó Mongáin (accordion). These artists, each having a unique connection to Potts and his music, will celebrate his significant influence on traditional Irish music.

Tickets for the concert are available at €20, €25, and €30, with a 10% discount offered to Friends of NCH and groups of 10 or more. See below for further details.
