Sage Gateshead seeks a Head of Individual Giving and Campaigns.

The post holder will work alongside the Director of External Relations and Strategic Development to develop the organisation’s philanthropic individual giving programmes.

They will be responsible for stewarding donors through a ladder of giving and for identifying new prospects. Through this work they will become a key member of the department and a highly visible member of the team both internally and externally. They will conduct research, develop cultivation plans and create a programme of work that connects current and new supporters to a wide range of Sage Gateshead’s work.

As a senior member of the team, they will also have strong relationships with colleagues across the organisation and will be able to articulate the value of the arts and music, creative learning, and the overall vision of Sage Gateshead.

This post holder will work on both structured giving programmes and on the securing of major gifts towards a range of areas including revenue, capital and endowment. They will have an overview of, and interact with, donors at the entry level of our giving programmes through to our highest value supporters. They will also have line management responsibilities and will benefit from administrative support in order to realise their plans.

It is expected that through the creation of this post income from individuals will increase, and so a willingness to work towards ambitious targets as part of a committed team is essential.
