Royal Northern Sinfonia is hiring a Head of Classical Marketing.

The post holder will work with the Director, RNS to set the overall marketing strategy, and play a key part in determining tone of voice and narrative around the programme and the orchestra. They are responsible for the devising and delivering an annual series of marketing and communications campaigns, and meeting sales targets for the classical programme.

In addition to growing audiences for traditional performances, the post holder will have a thorough understanding of audience development, and suitable branding, sales campaigns and sales channels to attract a wider range of target audiences to new performance formats and for digital work.

The successful applicant will have creative flair, and a passion for classical music. They will be convinced of its relevance to contemporary society, and have a plethora of ideas of how to communicate this better to a wider public. In addition to support from the Marketing and Communications Assistant, the post holder will also be able to draw on the wider marketing resources of the organisation. It is envisaged that there will be opportunity to develop the classical marketing team in the near future.
