Matt Berninger, frontman of The National, has announced a solo performance at Vicar Street, Dublin, on Saturday 23 August 2025. The concert follows the release of his second solo album, *Get Sunk*, which will be issued on 30 May through Book/Concord Records. Tickets go on sale on Friday, 14 March, at 10am via Ticketmaster.

Get Sunk was produced by Grammy Award-winning producer and engineer Sean O’Brien, who also co-wrote many of the songs. The album features contributions from Meg Duffy (Hand Habits), Julia Laws (Ronboy), Kyle Resnick (The National, Beirut), Garret Lang, Sterling Laws, Booker T. Jones, Harrison Whitford, Mike Brewer, and Walter Martin and Paul Maroon of The Walkmen.

The first single from the album, ‘Bonnet of Pins’, has already been released.

The Dublin concert is part of a wider tour that includes North American and European dates. Berninger’s live performances will feature many of the musicians who contributed to the album, with Ronboy (Julia Laws) as the opening act.
