Hollywood Hits! with the BBC Concert Orchestra
Nottingham Royal Concert Hall will be the venue for the BBC Concert Orchestra's rendition of "Hollywood Hits!" on 21st April 2023. This event features the distinguished 60-piece BBC Concert Orchestra, led by conductor Richard Balcombe, and joined by prominent West End vocalists Louise Dearman and Graham Bickley. The performance pays tribute to a range of Oscar-winning music spanning different eras and genres.
The evening's programme offers compositions from classic films such as "On the Town", "My Fair Lady", "Frozen", and "Dirty Dancing". The setlist includes renowned pieces like Leonard Bernstein's "On the Town", Jerome Kern's "The Way You Look Tonight" from Swingtime, Richard Rodgers' "I Have Dreamed" from The King & I, and Michel Legrand's "Summer of 42". Additionally, the concert will feature well-known tracks such as "Moon River" from Breakfast at Tiffany's, "Over the Rainbow" from The Wizard of Oz, and "Let It Go" from Frozen.
