How I discovered this artist:

I first heard Joshua Burnside at Other Voices Belfast in June 2019. Have been a regular listener since.

The track or piece of music I enjoyed most:

Lambs on the Greenhill

Why I gave the above rating:

Have been really enjoying getting to know Joshua Burnside's music over the last year. I knew he was an original singer-songwriter, but I didn't realised he was a subtle interpreter of folk songs too. This is a collection of material he picked up at the Sailortown Folk Club in Belfast and it's a welcome introduction to this side of his music, and to the club. His own slip-jig 'Kitty May' shows what a feel he has for instrumental tunes too.
