The Royal Academy of Music, the UK’s senior music conservatoire, has a vacancy for an Open Academy intern in our acclaimed Learning and Participation programme, with effect from September 2019.

Open Academy extends the knowledge, expertise and resources of the Academy beyond our enrolled students and staff through strategic partnerships with music hubs and other arts organisations.

You will work with closely with Open Academy staff and assist in co-ordination of setup for classes and projects and assist with the smooth delivery of departmental activities. You will also deal with enquiries from staff, students and the general public and provide general administrative support.

You will have a good academic track record and good general IT skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, a friendly nature and an enthusiasm to contribute to our busy Open Academy team. You will also ideally have musical knowledge and a particular interest in music and the field of learning and participation.

This is a professional development opportunity and is paid at £10.55 per hour. There will also be opportunities to attend the Academy’s free public concerts and events.
