Music Tutors (strings)

Music Tutors (strings)

Wednesday, 17 July 2019, 11.30pm

ArtForms Music + Arts (www.artformsleeds.co.uk) supports learners in music and artistic activities throughout Leeds. Our music service provides tuition to 14,000 young people across the city, through a combination of school-based lessons, youth music groups and community music centres.

We are seeking to appoint skilled and enthusiastic strings tutors from September. The work involves delivering small group (and potentially some whole class) instrumental tuition to children and young people in schools across Leeds. You will be teaching string instruments; primarily violin but ability across the whole family of instruments would be useful.

The appointment is initially for supply work on a casual cover basis, but may lead to longer term work depending on availability.

These posts will be paid on the NJC scale (PO1) on a casual claims basis, between £15.81 and £17.04, subject to an addition of 12% in recognition of holiday entitlement, and an addition of 10% to your paid hours in recognition of planning and preparation time (increasing to 50% for whole class work). Your actual pay per hour of contact will therefore be £19.48 to £28.63. Travelling expenses are paid as appropriate.
