Music Generation is a nationwide performance music education service for children and young people that provides opportunities for children and young people to access a range of high quality, subsidised vocal and instrumental performance music education programmes in their local area.

Mayo Sligo Leitrim ETB now wishes to recruit suitably qualified and experienced Musician Educators to provide instrumental and/or vocal tuition throughout a wide range of programmes. This offers a unique opportunity for dynamic musicians to join the Music Generation team at a time of exciting change in the music education landscape in Ireland.

Musician Educators will work with children and young people in group contexts and may work on one or more programmes at any given time, delivering tuition at more than one location.

Essential criteria
To qualify for appointment candidates must:
Be a motivated, accomplished, practising musician with demonstrable skills in at least one instrument/voice
Have a proven track record of at least two years’ experience in delivering vocal and/or instrumental music tuition
to a high standard in at least one performance music education context or genre
Demonstrate a strong ability to connect with children and young people, and a passion for and commitment to
performance music education.
Be highly organised and efficient.
