As the world prepares for Beethoven's 250th birthday, the Degani Piano Trio and Barry McGovern bring two of his most acclaimed works, the subtle and enigmatic Piano Trio in E flat major Op.70 No.2 paired with the witty and dramatic Piano Trio in G major Op.1 No.2. The vigour and sensitivity of Beethoven's music will be illuminated by extracts from his letters both heartrending and funny as in his Heiligenstatt Testament narrated by Barry McGovern. Barry McGovern is an Irish stage, film and television actor renowned for his Beckett interpretations and the Degani Piano Trio are distinguished for their insightful and joyful interpretations of the classics.
