The Musicians’ Union (MU) is seeking a full-time London Regional Officer (ROff) in its London Region.

The successful candidate will need to have knowledge of the Musicians’ Union and its role within the music industry, and work as part of a small team to provide high-quality service and support to members in the region. This will include responding to members’ enquiries relating to a wide range of music industry areas, providing assistance with employment issues and small claims actions, and contributing to the internal administrative operations of the regional team.

As ROff, the successful candidate will develop and maintain relationships with various industry organisations, partners, and venues to ensure members are represented and that the MU is visible to potential members. The candidate will also help progress the MU Equality Action Plan and develop and deliver events and presentations concerning the MU and the music industry as a whole. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic team player, able to work independently, communicate clearly and concisely, and prioritise and multitask effectively.

This full-time, permanent position will involve hybrid working from home and MU HQ in London Bridge. The candidate will need to be based in, or have easy access to, the London region. The role includes the provision of a company car, and the successful candidate will have a full UK driving license or be willing to gain one.

The MU is offering a basic salary of £45,085, Scale Point 18, and a London Weighting Allowance of £6,050, as well as a contribution towards a personal pension scheme. The annual leave entitlement for this post is 30 days, excluding public holidays. The successful candidate will be expected to fully commit to delivering and improving the Union’s services to members, as well as the overall aims and objectives of the trade union movement.
