Role Responsibility
The position of Assistant Producer (Artists and Projects Manager) is a key member of the artistic planning team, working closely with the Head of Artistic Planning (and the Director) to engage artists, venues, Festivals and CD companies, as well as liaising with agents and promoters to ensure the highest artistic standards are achieved.

This role is both administrative and managerial, requiring excellent organisational skills, to help to manage the orchestra’s diary, working both to immediate deadlines, and those that are months and years in advance. Good quality longer term planning will ensure that the orchestra has the ability to work with the right artists and at the right venues for all projects.

The role also manages fees for the artists and ensures the well-being of all visiting conductors and soloists performing with BBC NOW, looking after both their artistic and logistic requirements.

Are you the right candidate?
The successful candidate requires a significant knowledge of conductors, soloists and repertoire. Excellent communication & negotiation skills are essential, as are good connections throughout the classical music industry. The ability to multi-task with a significant number of events to plan at one time, cope under pressure in a busy planning environment and have meticulous attention to detail are all skills required for this position.
