HANDEL

Handel Organ Concerto Op.7 No.4 in D minor HWV 309
Handel The Ways of Zion do Mourn, Part I of Israel in Egypt HWV 54
Handel Organ Concerto Op.4 No.5 in F major HWV 293

Irish Chamber Orchestra, under the direction of Desmond Earley join organist Tristan Russcher and the Choral Scholars of University College Dublin for a Handel celebration. Handel’s choral anthem The Ways of Zion do Mourn will be flanked by two Organ Concertos.
These popular concertos are brilliant concert pieces, in which the organ plays a joyous, “worldly” part. Op. 7 No. 4 in D features alongside Op. 4 No. 5 in F, a transcription of the delightful recorder sonata Op. 1 No. 11.
