Big Noise Douglas is looking for a Musician/Teacher (Percussion) to join their team.

You will work as part of the dynamic team in Big Noise Douglas delivering a visionary, socially driven children’s orchestra centre. You will work with children from pre-school, primary school, secondary school, and adults. Being creative in designing and introducing new ways of learning you will use music as a tool to grow children’s confidence, respect, aspiration, drive and understanding.

As part of the team you will develop innovative ways to engage children and families including home visits and community performances. You will also work collaboratively with partners to design and develop innovative ways to engage the deaf children who attend Claypotts Castle Primary.

Educated to degree level or equivalent, you must have experience of working with large and varied groups of children along with a track record of success in giving music instruction to children on your specialist instrument.

This is a permanent post, working 3 days a week (days of work to be confirmed).
