The Latchiko's
With a sound that is unique to Galway city, the Latchikos began as a busking band: fusing a heady mix of traditional Irish violin with spanish gyspsy guitar and world tribal beats on Cajon box.
Credited as the originators of “Gyp-Hop” (Gaelic gypsy hip-hop!) the Latchiko’s blend a raw mix of Virtuoso violin, Spoken Word and Raw driving Gaelic beats with humour and gusto.
They soon found festivals locally and internationally and are currently recording their second album.

into a frenzy. The Latchikos had steam coming off bald men’s heads’ The Irish Times
