Research Support Officer

Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London is seeking a Research Support Officer.

This post represents an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to make a distinctive and positive difference in a dynamic environment, working closely with the rest of the Research team and with colleagues in Innovation (knowledge exchange and enterprise). He or she will provide high quality support to academics in developing research funding proposals, contribute creatively to the development of internal and external funding streams, facilitate the execution of funded projects, take responsibility for developing research policies and procedures, ensure compliance with procedural requirements and best practice in the sector, perform an important supporting role in finalising the School’s REF2021 submission, and be involved in the establishment of the School’s brand-new Institute for research into the social impact of the performing arts.

The successful candidate should hold a degree and have relevant experience in research in an HE environment. They will bring to the role sound knowledge of research funding in the UK, and excellent organisation and project management skills.
