Guildhall School of Music & Drama is seeking a Vice-Principal & Director of Production Arts.

The higher education Production Arts programmes are highly regarded in the industry for the thoroughness of their audition processes and the quality and rigour of the training. The programmes are renowned for their future focus, industry relevance, care and attention to individual student development and the strong ethic of collaboration shared by staff and students. As well as higher education courses, the Director of Production Arts oversees a number of cross cutting workstreams including Guildhall Live Events, a business unit born out of the school’s video mapping expertise. There are also plans for the new Director to roll out production arts activity across Guildhall Young Artists and within the Guildhall’s Open programme.

We are seeking an inspirational leader who has a vision for the performing arts industry of the future and the role of the production arts within it, recognising the many current and emerging performance platforms in which our graduates will flourish and able to drive change at both institution and industry levels.

The successful applicant will have significant professional industry and/or educational experience in any discipline within production arts or relevant creative industry and be well networked within the international performing arts industry.
