Jennifer Stumm's An Imperfect Instrument

Wednesday, 30 March 2022, 7.30pm

A solo viola recital that weaves music with words to tell a story of how imperfection can be the very thing that gives us our voice.

Music Network presents acclaimed violist Jennifer Stumm's nationwide tour from 29 March – 6 April with performances in Bray, Dublin, Roscommon, Clifden, Listowel and Waterford.

Stumm, Professor of Viola at Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna and International Chair of the Royal College of Music in London, will perform her show An Imperfect Instrument across her six Irish dates. Her TEDx talk of the same name went viral and led to a solo debut at the Berlin Philharmonie. In a new version specially curated for Irish audiences, Stumm will tell, through a mixture of music and words, how imperfection can be the very thing that gives us our voice.
