Imagining Ireland: Narolane Presents Denise Chaila, God Knows And MuRli

Sunday, 27 September 2020, 8.00pm

Over the past few years, Ireland’s hip-hop scene has made its way from being a relatively niche musical genre to a true movement.

Undoubtedly at the helm of this movement are the three founding members of narolane records: God Knows, Denise Chaila and MuRli.

The three MCs share a long and rich friendship and artistic CV. All growing up in the west of Ireland, God Knows and MuRli made up two-thirds of Rusangano Family, the first hip-hop act ever to win Ireland’s national music awards, The Choice Prize, in 2017. On that award-winning album, a little-known artist called Denise Chaila performed a spoken word piece called ‘Isn’t Dinner Nice’. Fast forward three years and Denise Chaila is Ireland’s highest charting female artist.

The concert will be available to tickets holders for 24 hours following the performance.
