Tommie Potts: The Fireman Fiddler of The Coombe is a biographical concert film celebrating the life and work of Tommie Potts (1912-1988); an experimental traditional fiddler and fire fighter with the Dublin Fire Brigade.

Originally programmed as a live concert and now taking the form of a pre-recorded piece during the Covid-19 pandemic, the site-specific event features a series of musical performances from fiddlers Liam O’Connor and Aoife Ní Bhriain in the atmospheric surroundings of the Dublin Fire Brigade Training Centre, using the engine garages, pump rooms, and the Dublin Fire Brigade museum as a backdrop to explore Potts’ life and work, all filmed and rendered on screen by award-winning filmmaker Bob Gallagher.
