The BBC is hiring a Commissioning Director, BBC Factual, Arts & Classical Music.

In this job you will be leading the largest team of commissioners in UK TV, responsible for the most impactful premium documentaries, world class natural history content, hugely loved factual entertainment, unique history and science, ground breaking arts and classical music, ambitious religion and ethics and observational documentary brands which audiences love and are central to the BBC’s public service mission.

You’ll be leading a hugely experienced team within commissioning responsible for these strategically crucial areas. Recent restructuring means Arts and Classical Music now sit alongside the factual teams, all committed to delivering premium iPlayer content and channel brands that reflect lives across the UK. This team is critical to delivering the team’s strategy; responsible for both generating and developing bold ground-breaking ideas and working with both BBC Studios and the Independent Sector to commission content based on a deep understanding of audience needs and the genre.
