Friday, 3 July 2015 (All day) to Sunday, 5 July 2015 (All day)

Fáilte chuig Féile Traidphicnic! 3-5 Iúil/July 2015
An Spidéal, Conamara.

Traidphicnic is an open-air, trad music festival, based in and around the seaside village of An Spidéal; the majority of events take place on an outdoor stage in the surrounds of An Ceardlann, Spiddal Craft Village.  Looking out over  Galway Bay and the Wild Atlantic Way, Traidphicnic is just a 20 minute drive west of Galway city.

Now in its fourth year, Traidphicnic includes music gigs, crafts demonstrations, interactive art area, camera obscura, sean-nós dance class, informal Irish language classes, sea-shore walks and talks.  For those more serious about their Trad music, the festival includes opportunities to participate in music/dance workshops with some of the masters of Traditional Irish Music.

This years line up of gigs include:
- Liam Ó Maonlaí (Hothouse Flowers) Peter O Toole (Hothouse Flowers), Eithne Ní Chatháin (INNI-K), Cormac Begley (Tunes in the Church Galway), Maitiu Ó Casaide (TG4 Young Musician of the Year 2105)

THE Ó HERNAN FAMILY AND FRIENDS - A representation from Carna of some of the finest musicians, song and dance Conamara has to offer.

TAP ROOM TRIO - Harry Bradley (TG4 Musician of year 2014) Jesse Smith, Colm Gannon and John Blake.

The Bonnymen, Neansaí Ní Choisdealbha, Bríd Harper, Charlie Lennon, Tom Byrne, Tóla Custy, Laoise Kelly, Áine Ní Dhroighneáin, Skippers Alley, Fís, Ríanú, Liam Ó Brien, Hajime Takahashi.

As a family oriented festival, which aims to be accessible to all, Traidphicnic operates a ‘donate what you can’ ethos to help us cover the costs of bringing our audience the best of Traditional Irish Music. The festival is bilingual and organised by a voluntary committee.

Have fun, try out your cúpla focal, keep it clean and green and take home special memories made at Traidphicnic.  Be prepared for Connemara summer weather! Bring suncream, wellies, jacket, midge–cream and don’t forget the Picnic!
