Chicago Jazz String Summit

On Friday, May 13 and Saturday, May 14, 2022 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. (CST), the 8th Chicago Jazz String Summit (CJSS) will once again present live performances showcasing jazz, improvised, and experimental music by internationally celebrated string players. Founded by critically acclaimed cellist and composer, Tomeka Reid, this year’s event will take place over the course of two evenings at Constellation Chicago with free string workshops held virtually in collaboration with Experimental Sound Studio.

CJSS is open to the public and the 2022 Artist Line-up includes: Leonor Falcon (Argentina/NYC), viola; Edmar Castaneda (Colombia/NYC), harp; Zara Zaharieva (Bulgaria/Chicago), violin; Kash Killion (SF), cello; Curtis Stewart (NYC), violin; and Jake Charkey (NYC), cello.
