The Open Fund For Music Creators

Tuesday, 26 September 2023, 4.00pm

The PRS Foundation’s The Open Fund for Music Creators is a programme designed to support the development of talented songwriters and composers across various genres and backgrounds at different stages of their careers.

This fund offers assistance to songwriters, composers, artists, bands, producers, and performers who are engaged in the creation of their own music or commissioning works from others.

To be eligible for funding, projects put forward by music creators must adhere to specific funding priorities. These priorities include facilitating the creation, performance, and promotion of outstanding new music across all genres, with an emphasis on the quality and artistic merit of the music. Additionally, the fund aims to enable the realisation of potential for the most talented music creators in the UK, focusing on how the project will contribute to the growth and development of the participating songwriters and composers.
