Droichead Artist Bursaries Autumn 2021

Thursday, 30 September 2021, 5.00pm

Droichead is delighted to announce our second strand of ARTIST BURSARIES for 2021. Earlier in 2021 we awarded 10 bursaries to artists in Louth and East Meath. Following on from this first round, we are expanding the reach a little to include the North East Region* (Louth, Meath, Cavan and Monaghan), and providing three bursaries of €2,500 for professional artists who are based in this region.

Part of our strategy, is enabling arts and artists, supporting the work and development of artists in this region. This is at the heart of who we are and what we do. We want to enable artists to make work. We want to create an ecology which nurtures art and artists, and which makes the production and presentation of high-quality work available.

These bursaries are open to artists working in all disciplines and art forms and we welcome applications from artists of all abilities, from all communities, traditions and cultures, and at any stage of their career in this region.

So if you have an idea that you would like to develop, a piece of work that you want to finish, apply!

We will also offer support in kind including space and mentoring as required and we will assist with documentation of the work/project. These bursaries are for artists to work over a 3-month period from Nov 2021 – Jan 2022. If you require any assistance with your application please email [email protected]
