Seamus O'Kane of Dungivan, Co Derry is one of the most warmly cherished treasures of Irish traditional music in Ulster. For decades, he has been revered for his sensitive bodhrán accompaniment and he is sought out by traditional musicians across Ireland and beyond for his technique, sympathetic musical support, deep knowledge and gentle good humour. Seamus is also an innovative and exceptional bodhrán maker, the inventor of the tuneable bodhrán. His instruments and tippers are in high demand. This concert celebrates the man, his music and his warm welcome to musicians far and wide with a line-up that includes some of Ireland's finest singers and musicians.
