Northern Ireland Opera is currently accepting applications for the Peter Rankin Pianist Internship at The 13th Glenarm Festival of Voice 2023. The festival is scheduled to take place from Thursday 24th August until Sunday 27th August 2023.

Applications for the Peter Rankin Pianist Internship must be submitted by 6 p.m. on Friday 19th May 2023. The chosen pianist will be announced in June. For more information and application details, interested individuals can contact Laura Salt via email at info [at] niopera.com.

The selected pianist will have the opportunity to collaborate with, and learn from, seasoned opera professionals. They will actively participate in coaching sessions and attend all festival events, gaining exposure and expanding their network within the industry.

The chosen pianist will be awarded £300. This financial reward serves to recognise their commitment to the craft and support their career advancement. The Internship is open to pianists aged 18-28 born in either Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland. Applicants must be currently studying music at the 3rd level or privately, demonstrating a genuine pursuit of a career in music.
