Shrewsbury Folk Festival is currently inviting artists to apply for one of the three slots on The Launchpad, a platform dedicated to showcasing emerging talent on the festival’s Village Stage.

The Launchpad offers successful candidates a chance to perform two 30-minute sets during this year’s event.

Interested performers must be available to attend the festival between Friday, August 25th, and 28th. Applicants must be aged 16 or above, with parental permission required for 16 to 18-year-olds. There is no upper age limit, ensuring inclusivity for musicians of all ages. Launchpad musicians will receive a free artist and guest ticket, on-site camping, and artist hospitality.

To apply, musicians need to submit a short biography that includes location and ages, along with links to their performances on platforms such as Soundcloud, YouTube, etc. Applicants should also provide contact details. All application materials should be sent to jo [at] shrewsburyfolkfestival.co.uk before May 26. Only the selected performers will be contacted.
